Why isn't my laptop letting me watch flash or youtube videos?

Every time i try to watch a video on youtube or a website it my internet browser (internet explorer, google chrome, and firefox i tried all of them) will just spazz out and freeze and eventually close, please tell me how i can fix this. I have a windows 7 laptop which is a dell inspirion. please help
