The first issue sounds like a "Charley Horse" to me. It happens because you are stretching out your leg (after it's been bent, while sleeping, for many hours) and it cramps up. You can actually feel the BALL/KNOT form in your calf. It's very painful. Everyone gets them (at times). I have been told that if you increase your potium intake (eat bananas), it's will alleviate the frequency of them. I've gone through periods when I got them consistently, night after night. And, your second issue. I believe, we all get "sudden jerks" (once in a while) as we're just about to fall asleep. It feels like you're falling off a mountain. Not sure why that happens, but it's normal. I don't think you have anything to worry about. I'm sure that your legs, brain & nerves are working just fine!

American Idol 2008 - Should they have let Josiah in the top 24?

Should I try to get into dental school or just become a PA?

I am interested in becoming an DDS but I declared a BS in Physician istant. The problem is that I decided that if I wanted to do pre med I want to major in Chemistry because im strong at chemistry and the cles are much more different. But Im not sure that I could becoming a PA later if I don't get into dental school school. I just want to try to get into dental school because Im a really good student and I shouldn't waste my good academic abilities. Could I still apply to PA graduate schools without a BS in PA? They said I had to fill out a self report, so after getting no clear answer really I asked What i had to do for the self report and if i still had to submit the endorsement, and if it was done online, i got the answer you fill out a self report and the application is online, so I went to go fill out the application and got the part where the endorsement was and there was still something I had to fill out apparently I need to have an interview with an LDS Bishop even though I am not LDS the self report is a part that they fill out during the interview but instead of asking you about LDS related topics, they ask you about yourself, you think that they could have told me that before? So anyway because i never got a real answer about what I had to do after asking 3 times and having only 2 days until the deadline to try and figure out how to get an interview and where to go to get one, who can I contact if anyone to see if I can get an extension on the application submission? Which university is better for Electrical/Computer Engineering? UCF, USF, FSU?

You are right about UF, their engineering program is hands down best in the state. Id knock off USF right away. UCF is a big campus and has a commuter feel as well as being in a bigger city. FSU has more of the college feel with athletics and a college town atmosphere. If instate is your only option I would first look to UF, from there all other engineering programs are grouped as second rate and it really depends on your personal preference for one campus/experience over the other. Good luck on UF.

George Washington is definitely the best school on your list and is hard to get into. Florida International is in miami and has a lot of latinos so make sure you know your spanish. Indiana U is a big party school, but it's really nice and they have decent academics. West Michigan is a pretty big school, while Johnson & Wales is a small school, so it depends on what you like. North Dakota State is in the middle of nowhere, but it might be good if you like mountains and open plains. You have a very wide array of schools here from all over the country, so good luck with your search.

Lifeguard Re certification Question?

Last year I became a lifeguard and got all of my certifications. I know I need to get re certified for CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, but I also got a Blood Borne Pathogens Training Certification. Do i need to get this one again to continue to be a lifeguard? I live in PA if that matters, and I work at an apartment complex by myself if that has anything to do with it. Thanks!

My cat keeps growling at me?

First let me give a little bit of background. I have had my cat for almost a year, I saved her from the streets in the country of Bahrain. OK I went to my 1st storage unit yard sale yesterday, you know where people that didn't pay for thier unit's rent stuff get's sold the the owner. at first I was overjoyed. Help with HP printer?

Hi, I have a PSC 2175 HP printer and it has been printing slow lately, out of nowhere. I checked the settings and it is set to print "Normal". When I print a page, and I put it as "fast draft" it still prints slow. It used to not do this. I thought maybe it would be the ink cartridges so I replaced them and still the same problem. In fact, now when it tries to do the alignment test on the ink cartridges, it says "paper too narrow" and does not do it. The paper is the same paper I've always used, it is the standard size, and yet it gives me that error. I even cleaned the inside of the printer (the sensor cover/lens) and no luck. I am pretty sure that I have the latest driver updates (the last one on the HP website is from 2004) so what else could it be?

Okuriashi is easy to learn and hard to perform. I think you are putting too much weight on your gliding foot. The footwork is meant to teach you how to transfer your body weight from one foot to the other while maintaining posture and a bit of forward balance. Try thinking of it as more of a "push, pull" motion. Driving off your rear foot more, and pulling it in with your front foot once it's planted. Since your new, I would encourage you to work at a slower pace, especially at home. The little bit you do in cl is not going to help you learn it well. Be patient, work slow, and concentrate on the small things. Good Luck

Child Care While On Active Duty In The Air Force?

I'm going in the Air Force AD soon and just recently found out my wife is 8 weeks pregnant. She is throwing a hissy fit saying the child care needs to be 50/50 once I'm in the Air Force, I don't agree. She is just going to be at home with the child and doing online college courses, I will be working full time; doing online college courses; and helping with the child. Is it wrong of me to think that the baby and house hold chores will be more along the lines of 70/30 or 75/25? I just think that it is unreasonable to say that I have to work full time while she doesn't and yet I have to do as much towards changing diapers/cleaning as her. Make sure that you tent the skin and put the shot in the skin, if you go too far you'll shoot the shot in the air and not do your puppy any good. You should feel a little bump in the skin until it goes in. You should not feel a big wet spot, if so you went too far. You also need to get a heart worm med. from your vet, even house dogs are in danger of heart worms.I do a 6-9-12 week schedule for my puppies and then yearly. What you have sounds fine.

No, you shouldn't have a problem at Neuschwanstein - Pike's Peak is a lot higher at over 14,000 ft. My home in Colorado is not far from Pike's Peak and I can feel a difference between the altitude around Denver and the top of Pike's Peak or Mount Evans even when I've been acclimated to the Denver area. I've never had a problem at Neuschwanstein in 5 or 6 trips there.

Why did my check engine light come on after an aftermarket CD player was installed in my 2001 Jetta?

I had a Pioneer cd player installed at an audio shop. A few days after installation my check engine light came on. A WV dealership could not get the codes using an OBD test to figure out the reason for the check engine light being on & says it may have something to do with the wiring of the cd player. The cd player works perfect. Would anyone know a solution to this problem?

Depends on what you want to do, as far as PvP or PvE. If PvP is what you are looking for, a Pally is much easier than a Mage to play, skill-wise. As I'm sure an argument will break out about that comment, I should say I have played both, and a Pally is both more versatile and much better suited PvP wise. As far as PvE goes, once again, can't go wrong with a pally (at least until Cataclysm). Before Cata, Pally rotation was basically, press the prettiest on that isn't on cooldown. A Mage's rotation is only 3-4 ons as arcane spec, so not that difficult either. But I would say to roll a Pally. Mages can only be DPS cles, and get boring rather quick. With a Pally, if you get bored of DPS, just heal. If you get bored of healing, just tank. Much better choice in the long run.

Intel4 and Celeron D?

I have an intel pent.4 1.6 GHZ and am trying to switch it to a Celeron D 330 2.56GHZ. I'm guessing the mother board can't read the higher processor speed. Is there a patch for the bios that enables it to read it. In the olden days of computing the mother boards had switches to alleviate this problem, Now NIX.

Stony Brook University or Cuny Hunter?

Hi i was wondering could someone help me out I'm currently a Sopre at San Francisco State University(sfsu) my major is biology and I have a 3.6 GPA. i'm on the pre-med track. I plan on transferring and my top two choices are Stony Brook University or Cuny Hunter and i was wondering which school is better for a career in medicine, also i'm confused about this whole Suny and Cuny thing is it like in California with the UC's and cal states also i want the whole New York city experience. Is it true while Stony Brook University is a good school it's not anywhere near New York City? Also any other suggestions for schools would be great thanks.

I will be joining the AC 3-year program on an Express Scholarship in the Fall at Penn State, and wanted to know what I should be doing this summer? So far, I've been working out and memorizing the Air Force ranks, core values, song, chain of command, creed, mission, core values, capabilities, and competencies. I've also taken a practice AFOQT, but since the tests are scored based on how everyone else does, I'm not really sure if I did well or not. I definitely want to make a really good impression to the cadre at my detachment since field training allocations are really tight. Is there anything else I can/should be doing?

Leaking bathroom pipe?

We recently replaced our pedestal sink with a sink and a vanity. The old pipe fitting under the sink were steel. Since the new sink sat further from the wall than the old sink, we had to replace the discharge pipes. I replaced all the fittings under the sink with pvc including the pipe that went into the wall. However, the pipe that went into the wall is now leaking at the wall, not at a connection. I'm not sure what the fittings look like once they're in the wall, but the new pvc pipe is in as far as it can go. Does anyone know what I have done to cause the sink to leak? Is there anything I should have done to replace the pipe that goes into the wall? Should I put a steel pipe back in its place, etc? Thanks!

South African elections this month and the next leader could most likely be Jacob Zuma. However, he is not favoured by the press and by individuals who are politically conscious. He was trialled for two different cases. One was where he allegedly d a young Aids victim. He was found not guilty. The second was his apparent involvement with an illegal arms deal with a French arms company. However, he is an amazing negotiator, often quelling feuds between to opposing groups, such as the the Hutu-Tutsi conflict in Burundi. He has also managed to befriend foreign leaders such as Nicolas Sarkozy and was able to reach out to the conservative Afrikaner community in South Africa. So will this man do a stellar job as president? Can we trust him? Should we give him a chance? What I can say is that we can look at the patterns of presidents from the past. JFK had a shoddy personal life, but was a good president. Others led good lives, but led their country to hell for example, ol' Bush Jr.
