American Idol 2008 - Should they have let Josiah in the top 24?

I really liked Josiah a lot. I was so happy when they let him into the top 50 to spite his final audition, but after, I thought to myself "man I think this guy has a whole lot of issues that we really don't know about". I think there was more to his backstory than what we knew. I'm pretty sure the judges thought the same and were afraid that he'd have a very hard time coping with rejection and criticism. I think he'll be back next year when he's really ready, and after he's dealt with this rejection.
