Please help me witht this question.?

I have a history research paper that I am working on. The topic is: Compare and contrast the founding of the English colonies in two of the following areas - Chesepeake, New England, Middle Colonies, and Lower South-describing for each colony in that region, how it was established, the economic or religious motivation for its founding, and the early economic and political characteristics of the colony. Im chosing to write about the Chesapeake and the New England Colonies. But what does my professor mean by describe for each colony in that region? Does he mean describe each colony in Chesapeake and then each colony in New England? Please help.. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
