Where's my Google tool bar?

Brand new computer, Win7. (Old one is XP running IE8.) Downloaded IE9 onto new PC to use instead of bing. Followed instructions I found to display the Google toolbar (right-click Tools icon or right-click anywhere at top of window, etc.) and make sure Google toolbar is checked. Couldn't because no Google toolbar in the list so there's nothing to select. How am I supposed to search using Google? Was really used to my old setup with Google search and all my groovy shortcuts in the menu bar. Help me get them baaaaack!
