How do you code CPT codes?

I am looking for a step by step guide to CPT Coding, and I cant find one unless I buy a book. Im going to be taking my CPC exam next year and Ive already taken courses through college, but I never took the CPT course. I was just wondering how you know when to choose the code. Thanks so much!
