Are storage unit yard sells wrong? Please read....

OK I went to my 1st storage unit yard sale yesterday, you know where people that didn't pay for thier unit's rent stuff get's sold the the owner. at first I was overjoyed. Everything was like 10 cent and they had some brand new stuff going for like 50 cent a box of about 20 childrens books for 4 dollars...but then I started to dig. I found family photos, ultrasound videos, nusery hospital bracelets, a funeral sign in book, journals...etc...and I started to feel bad. I bought some of the personal items to try to track the girl down. I think I found her but thats not the point. Is it wrong to have or attend these sells? Shouldn't these people go through the stuff ahead of time and pull out all the pics and such and set them to the side for the person to claim. I mean they are making thier rent money from all the other stuff sooo....where does the moral obilgation fall? Also, am I weird from worring about it? Thanks!
