Can rotten teeth cause cancer ?

I have some rotten teeth. I have been putting off getting dentures. But recently lost allot of weight, went to doc with neck and clavicle pain. She says there is a lump in my neck and many lymph nodes. Im scheduled to get them looked at but she mentioned that I have symptoms of cancer. Can bad teeth cause cancer? She said it could be something else too, like just infected teeth, but I am worried.
