Well i think it's just to show people that they can have anything then want in the here after. Guys tend to be very driven so 72 virgins seems appropriate. Women can have 72 male virgins if they want. I thought the same thing. Wouldn't that be like cheating on your husband. I heard that your husband/wife will be the most beautiful for you in the hear after. That's your reward. This is just my guess.
