Does britain and ulimately the indivual and society suffer from this trend....?

a girl(20) and her b f(18), live on the following, as main sources of income:jobseekers,housing benefit claimed by both parties,EMA and 30,000 given by a friend...neither have part time jobs or even do volunteer work and make other people do the shopping,in one makes a friend hand in their signing card at jobcentre cause she claims the secirity guard is too hot and she gets embred,neither look for jobs or furthering education, they argue and row alot and often throw items at the wall and she has at times been hit by the b f....views please...is this driving self esteem and ambition down
